So im about to sand down my car.. Im doing 500,800 to 1200 grit then primer, sand it down again and then base coat, clear coat..pls give me a link if im wrong... bout the air compressor, how much air compressor should i get? 10,15 & 20 should be fine? i saw a 30 gallon air compressor and its too expensive for my budget..

 

i helped paint my friends s10 and he only had a 10 galon tank. just dont be in a hurry, you might have to wait on air sometimes. but its not that bad.

Check the PSI/CFM ratings on YOUR gun and get a compressor to match/exceed. All guns are different. Some can work with a small compressor and others would get an inconsistent pattern or spitting on the same compressor. It all depends on your guns specs.

All air tools have their CFM/PSI ratings and you need to match that with the air compressor for best performance.
