Default Need some help ASAP...New clutch now it will not engage.

I have done several searches but can't seem to find what I am looking for.

I put in a new stock cluch, new pressure plate, through out bearing and flywheel/pilot bearing..

It is still up on the jack stands but when I put it in gear, I can turn the axles?? I did attempt to start it and I am able to switch gears with out using any clutch at all??

Pls Help, what have I done wrong. I just seems like the tranny shaft is either not going into the clutch plate? Or I put it together wrong and it is disengaged all the time.

Yea you are right...last night was not a very productive night. After pulling the tranny 3 times to double check the clutch install. I realized that you need some drag...meaning the tires need to installed and the car needs to be on the ground. I think it was OK all along... I feel like a real idiot......

Now I it doesn't seem like the driver side axle is going all the way back in. Should it be flush with the seal??? I have been banging it for about 2hrs but it seems like it is hitting and installed.

Thx for the help/advice

I did kinda the same thing when I was swapping from a auto to manual, put my nice stage 2 exeddy clutch in and heard a loud pop when I played with that release arm and then it didnt feel like the release bearing was moving, so i pulled the tranny out, double checked everything, put it back in, still the same. Pull it out and check everything again, then I ordered a new clutch and put that in. Then I decided to put some ***** into it when I pushed on the release arm and it moved perfectly fine.

So i ordered a new clutch and pulled my tranny out at least 6-7 times during this swap. And it probably whent together fine the first time. Oh well lesson learned i guess.
