Default blown Si engine.............read to your benefit

i have noticed that people from the north eastern states act and think like they know whats good for performance built cars. it snows year-round and they hardly have time to drive much less mod their cars. and with state restrictions it makes it that much harder to do so. i have honestly experienced the difference from southern people and west coast people and noticed how they always know what they are talking about and have thier cars way more modded and tunned the right way, more meets and better built cars. no BS hardly comes from them. but yet i visit NY state and NJ and see and talk to these people and they think they know about performance when it is obvious that they dont. i saw that spark plug topic and the arguements and deletions that took place on this site and i think that was uncalled for. as far as the spark plug thing goes, i would say that arguement was uncalled for because it is good to change them out rather than having them till 50k or so. if you mod your engine then why not your plugs. (but thats just my op) im not trying to add on. but i just dont see potential in those north eastern states. when i went to NJ and NY ALL i saw were probes and neons with nasty body kits and fake hood scoops with the occasional Si and other fairly modded cars around. thats sad. no wonder they dont have as many shops to buy parts from like we do on this side of the country. TX has a crap load and so does cali. i have read so much misinformation from fijibluesi, typex and built hatch. especially from builthatch. he is childish and cant take the heat when he gets proved wrong. if you are a true enthusiast and have that love for cars then you wouldnt get offended when someone tells it like it is. that is what this site is for, that way people can learn from one another and from mechanical mistakes that people make, not for deletion and locking sites. this site is FILLED with VERY inexperienced people and yet you get those people that think they know it all and start deleting and blocking in a manner and implication that they know more. i cant believe i actually got onto this site. i started a new account cause i dont want for the (mr know it alls) to know who i am. i did nothing but give good sig info and NEVER misled anyone. having said what i have, i will call it a night and will miss this site along with the legit Si owners. the listed names above are the "only" ones that are very inexperienced and misleading. ""everyone else" are great and actually serve a purpose on here. my time on here was good but not good enough. on to a new site where people actually respect eachother.

You are a hypocrite. You say "if you are a true enthusiast and have that love for cars then you wouldnt get offended when someone tells it like it is". But when you were "told like it is" you got butthurt and created several names and pointless threads.

Thank you for creating another thread spewing the same nonsense.

While you're at it, write Honda a pointless letter telling them they know nothing about their cars.

Ignorancy is not a word!

*edit* I find it ironic that the three people you named (builthatch, type x, and I) are all from NJ and NY. I highly highly doubt you have ever been here and you just made that up to try to make your point. It hasn't snowed in like two months here. Very hard to snow year-round when the July/August temperatures are +/- 95°.

In case you haven't noticed, builthatch and type x are very respected members of this forum. No amount of lobbying will get the members to take your side against them (especially with the ridiculous information you are trying to push). I don't have nearly the same amount of fans. LOL. I have my share of haters, but I always try to provide good, correct information.

its kinda funny how only the east coast people actually replied to this post. and i cant even believe how you would think that i am the same person from the start. that fo shizzle dude is full of crap and no way in hell am i like him much less be the same guy and make new accounts. what i wrote above is the truth and you all know it. i lived in syracuse for 2 yrs then i came home. so i do know about that state and NJ guys and NY guys are exactly the way i stated above in my post. and my friend that lives in watertown told me that i snowed like two weeks ago so i dont know and dont care where you got (it hasnt snowed in 2 months) dumb ***. your white east coast ignorance shows WAY TOO MUCH. people like you make the rest of the white population look bad. i guess the east coast deserves it. and not only from my own opinion do i believe that the people on this site is inexperienced but i have heard it from others as well. im not alone on this. so go F@#K yourselves and learn how to work on cars.

east coast has no automotive import potential what so ever. losers

Wow who woulda thought that we'd have another tupac and biggie rivalry west coast vs east battle on honda-tech. I thought we all came to share advice and opinions on each others cars, not argue like preschoolers, so honestly unless what are you saying unless your certified on hondas, turbos, superchargers, bolt ons, etc. You shouldn't speak, well not everyone on here are, so thats why we gather to communicate to understand and learn more.

As stated in Honda Tuning Magazine, this damn forum is overrated. It had its golden years but now everyone who needs real info and real advice without a bunch of kids and internet bench racers probing around go to other forums. There are quite a few out there.

Hey genius guess what. You said you created a "new account" so that nobody would know who you were.....but I have some sad news for you.

The Mods have ways of figuring out who you are and if you've had an account on here before or already do have another account......and if you do already have an account and decided to create a new one just to pitch a half-hearted attempt at dissing the Moderators on here then guess what.......they'll find that out and ban BOTH of your accounts.

Goodbye!

I'm from the south and I can tell you that you are a F*CKING MORON if you think that people from up north don't know that much about cars and performance. That's nothing but a rash generalization hand-pulled out of your ***.

And the next time you wanna think about accusing people of providing false information....how about backing it up with some proof, quotes, supporting evidence, etc. and not just throwing **** out there.

I realize nobody is perfect and even the Moderators are capable of making mistakes from time to time......and maybe they have.....I don't know.

All I can tell you is that builthatch and Mike (Type X) have done WAAAY more good for us than you could possibly comprehend in that undersized melon you call a brain.

Your argument was ill-thought and pointless. And the fact that you would generalize northerners like that is downright STUPID. What you don't think TEXAS has the same "ricer gung-ho" fanboys down here with their neon-painted cavaliers and tribal striped Neons. They're everywhere. All over the place. So pull your head out of your *** and GTFO!

Are you that huge of a douchebag? I live in NJ, not Watertown, NY. Northern NJ, not northern NY! It hasn't snowed in two months. I plow snow so I would definitely know. I'm pretty sure I'd know better than you, since I actually live here. Either way, I don't care if it snowed yesterday. It certainly doesn't snow year-round anywhere in NJ, or anywhere in NY, for that matter.

I've been to the West Coast several times with my old band. I saw the same cars you speak of. Civics with neon paint, probes with body kits, etc.

That "look" was the cool thing 5 years ago. Everywhere. It's been phased out, with the "JDM look" taking its place. But there are still a few people that are holding on to that look. Maybe you saw more of them when you came to NJ because the state has the most people per square mile of any state. We're like sardines. But, out of the two crews I sometimes cruise with (probably a total of like 70 cars) there are 3 that I really can't stand, because of their wings, vinyl, pointless fart cans, etc.

I was never into that "look" even when it was cool. Probably because I was really into muscle cars, and never thought I'd get an import. Either way, a certain look of a car, doesn't mean the owner doesn't know anything about cars. Maybe you don't remember because you were 11, 5-6 years ago, but it was the thing. Everyone and their mother had led windshield squirters, chrome windshield wipers, wings destined to be on 747s, and body kits that came off a whole other make of car. I guarantee you some of your "elders" or people you learned from used to be part of that crowd.

East coast has plenty of import potential. We just don't have beautiful weather year-round, as you are apparently an expert on that. 90+% of Tuner mags are based in California, because they have nice weather year round, to photograph cars. Being that they are in California, and tuner mags don't make a lot of money (for traveling), almost every car you see inside their pages, is a west coast car. That doesn't mean the East coast doesn't have nice cars. We just have no magazines to show them off.

Are there other people from Watertown on here?

Lol East Coast Redlines from Watertown NY would love to talk to the OP about our cars Granted mine is stock, but thats because I bought it a month ago and Im not dropping money on my car when the weather is nasty and there is still salt on the roads. My Mustang was definitely not stock. I see plenty of highly modded cars on a daily basis up here. I also see plenty of nasty ricer crap going around too. I'm pretty sure you can find that in any area. Just depends on what circle you run in. Im pretty sure I know what circle the OP runs in...
