Help! Had to leave my car on the side of the road!

Help! Had to leave my car on the side of the road!
Took my car to my buddies job today and I decided to change the dist. cap and rotor cause I've been having some starting problems, and a rough idle.
1. it has a delayed start, so imagine you turn the key and 2 seconds go by then it begins to crank.
2. this has happened twice so far...you turn the key and just get one click, nothing else.
Well now the car will not turn over. It cranks right on time but it will not turn over. Fuel pump comes on and it is getting a spark but....nothing! The WIERD thing is that now if I don't depress the clutch, it will still try to crank as if I did???!?
What i was thinking is that the clutch switch is bad...but I don't know!
PLEASE HELP!! My mechanic is closed on sundays and i can't get in touch with him!!
The car is a 97 GSR shell with a 95 ls engine and bone stock...not even an intake!
