ok so my car wont start. ... it turns over but doesn't catch.

heres the progress of my diagnosis' so far..

- I am getting spark to all 4 plugs
- I am getting fuel coming threw the fuel line..
- changed spark plugs to brand new ones..
- Main relay is changed. thats not it
- Alternator is 2 months old
- Battery is 1 month old
- Dash lights do come on , and heater does also.

i'm runnin outta ideas.. any help would be appreciated. trying to avoid towing this again.

also when it first started going to **** it actually did start once or twice after that. but now it wont go at all, just turns over.

 

Is there an intake obstruction preventing air from coming in.

Are you sure the spark is consistent and strong.

Had an igniter go bad on my car. I actually got spark at some point after the car wouldn't start, which really puzzled me. Eventually figured it out and igniter did the trick. Must have been only half bad or something.

 

yea thats whats been bugging me... if it's getting a spark how could it be the distributor. but maybe it gets spark just doesn't maintain it or something....


i guess i gotta figure out how to change the "ignitor"
