Call Hasport, they have a new mount kit for a Ferrari motor. IT's straight drop in, and they have a wiring converter for it too.

B18C1, B18C5, or just be like the shop with the CR-NS-X.

Oh jeez. Here we go again. I'll start.

B18C5 if you got the cash.
B18C1 if you don't.
B16B if you want to be different
B16A3 (or 2) to get the JDM or European EG feel.
New D series VTEC engine to replace your old engine with something a little fresher.

H22 if you don't mind doing something that Honda would NEVER do.

There are a million nuances to each of these. There will be a hundred or more replies to this saying "bullcrap, this one is better because...." Just my opinion. Good luck with the car.

since si's are the heaviest hatches i would say go with the h22... most people just want to go fast in a straight line so that would pretty much settle that. if i had the money i would do that.

I'd say go with a 1.8 to start with. The Si is heavy (I own one), so you'll definately need some torque to get moving...........or you could do the SR20 motor, like Johnny Tran........he's got more than 100 grand under the hood of that car.

yea but dont you think it should considering the B18B1 will be a few years newer...Only 700 - 800 difference in price...

I would suggest a 1.8 also if you have the cash to spend...I own a 92 SI and u definitly need that torque to get moving.....

Got my full (and then some) 1996 55,000 mile B18B swap for $1500. That's not much more than a first gen B16 (which i would never put in a 5th gen civic anyway), And quite a bit less than a 2nd gen B16a.

Autorecyclers are your friends......

The first gen B16a has a cable tranny and the 92-95 civics have hydro tranny

If you are on budget get b18B then turbo later.

Why not just do a B20/vtec? That would settle your torque problem since your car is not that light.

dont swap. build up your motor and turbo. if you are gunna struggle to get the swap you will deffinately not get around to turboing. and once u swap you wont be hapy with 14's even tho thats damn good

and i thought they quit makin civic si's in 93, and didnt start again til 99

Shawnhayes presented this well. IMO you will be happy with gsr motor and it wont brake you wallet to bad. Or you can go my route B18b and turbo. Either way, you **** will be fast as ball so dont worry.

i my self have a 92 si.... we both stress about the whold fat *** hatch issue. But what we must keep in mine is that we way exactly the same as a civic 4 door. now i currently have a c1 in my bubble... its a 13.8 car.. Now if i wanted to do a mean all motor setup and if i had the money to do so. it would be the goold old tourque monster, CRVTEC.... there is not much you can say to that motor. just remember the issue about the pistons hitting the valves like your girlfreind's forehead hits ur bellybutton. If you dont adjust that crankshaft of yours you will never last. But hey do like im gonna do, and BOOST THE **** OUT OF IT.

Whoever told u that was lying out their *******. They did Si's in the 92 hatches and newer. My friend had a black 92 Si, and i have a 94 Si. Only difference is i have ABS and a passenger-side airbag. I took my powersteering off and put in a CX rack.
