Just bought a B16 cable transmission and it didn't come with the speed sensor. I researched and people mention that

-All cable B-series VSS are interchangeable even the Automatic transmission.
So a DA Integra VSS should work on my B16 transmission correct?

-Also found a post which a D-series SOHC VSS will also work on a B-series transmission.

Correct me if I'm worng.

i also heard that they are interchangeable except that you may need to cut one of the legs off on the vss. but i heard they all work the same.

Thanks for the info. Wanted to double check before purchasing one or used the D-series one.

 

Anyone use the SOHC VSS on a B-series Transmission?

 

I am running a cable speed sensor from a 1991 CRX SI with my JDM B16A transmission with no problems. I am going to change out the cable speed sensor to an electronic VSS soon. I have read that a 1992 civic 3dr SI VSS speed sensor will work with the B16A tranny also.

OK cool, so the D-series cable VSS will work on the B-Series transmission.
