Default fuel smell in car, no pressure in fuel tank when removing gas cap

I bought a 92 Gs-R about a month ago, and recently started having a gas smell in the cab, so i started checking all of the fittings under the hood and around the tank. Im pretty sure its not coming from under the hood, so i removed my rear seat, and the sending unit cover, and it seems to be coming from the tank. the camps on the return, feed and vent lines all seem good. also realized i have no pressure in the fuel tank when removing my gas cap. any ideas on what could be going on? thanks

mang i feel you i had the same prob with my crx by the way wich is for sale
but any how i found that i had no pressure in the gas tank and i smell fuel as a result i dropped the tank and found that the previous owner which is a numbsiet
had drilled a hole in the cap and punctured the gas tank, so take down your tank and check for holes, if it is small go to your local auto store and look for a gas tank repair kit only 5.00 and patch it.
or you can do it the expensive way and take it to a shop and get charged 150-300 for the patch

on my buddys integra we had to take the fuel pump back out and put the rubber oring gasket back on correctly. if someone has replaced the fuel pump they might have messed this gasket up. ive seen this more then a couple times.

i mean... why would you drill a hole in your gas tank?

are you sure your evap system and fuel return lines are both where they should be?

I dont think that he did it on purpose. Looks to be where an amp or some thing was mounted. i can clearly see the hole, and where it has been leaking.
