Default speedometer going crazy and lights get dim?

i have a 98' civic dx hatch, so i was adding radiator fluid i finished and asked my buddy to put the rad cap back on and close the hood, well as i was driving i noticed that the speedometer was going crazy, then i saw rad fluid on my hood, and the check engine light turned on, so i go back home and tried drying off all the plugs i could, i turned it on and then turned the lights on stepped on the clutch, put it in gear, and rev'd it up a lil and the problem was still there plus i noticed the light would get dim as i pushed on the gas. Does anyone know what the problem could be? i did the search and none had the same symptoms as my car.

Check whether fuse 15 in the under-dash fuse/relay box is blown.

hey i change the fuse and it blew out again, do you know where the alternator sp sensor is located? shouldnt it be a ground or something that is causing it to blow out?

The most likely explanation is that there is still some coolant in connectors of the circuit protected by fuse 15. Try to dry them as well as possible.

If the fuse continues to blow, you may want to look into this common problem:

In this case, the wire harness running behind the intake manifold gets damaged and the wires short out. Inspecting the harness is easiest from below the car.
