i have a coupe, and if i were to redo my buy i would either not buy a civic or i would definitely get a sedan.
IMO go with a sedan!!!

If you bought the coupe love it! don't hate it it 'cause of ';could of, should've, would've. Two doors rock! I have a four door and love the look of the the coupe front end!
It's all about functionality. If you feel the sedan would suit you better for your lifestyle (kids, passengers, etc.) or if you just like 4-doors....then go for the sedan.
Headroom is pretty decent in both cars....i'm 6'1 and fit comfortably inside my coupe.
Alot of people will come in here and probably shoot their mouth off that the sedan looks better "in [their] opinion".....but looks are subjective. LOOKS ARE SUBJECTIVE. Go with what YOU feel you would be more comfortable in and what YOU like.
Test drive both cars and get a good feel for each of them. In the end it comes down to what you and you alone feel better fits your individual preferences.

That's questionable.
While the sedan offers 0.3" of more headroom.....the Coupe still offers 0.4" more legroom and 0.3" more shoulder room.
Unless you have short legs and a tall torso....i don't see how the Sedan could be more comfortable for a tall person than the coupe.

Well put, test drive both.
I am short, 5'7", I'm chinese haha.
Anyway I test drove both, to tell you the truth the sedan fit me better since I have short legs and a long torso.
Seat adjustment is difficult for me in the SI, I have to scoot closer and then recline the seat more and also raise the height a few pumps so my knees aren't hitting the steering wheel. I have to telescope the steering wheel all the way out and drop it all the way to the bottom.

I know what you mean about little headroom. At 6'6" I have very little as well. However, when I lower the seat down all the way and lean it back some I can ride comfortably. I have found that I need to hunch over a little when wearing my helmet. If I get really serious about tracking my car, I'll just bolt a racing seat to the floor. That would give me all the headroom I need.
All that being said, I have to agree with Rico. I don't think that 0.3" more head room will make much difference. In fact, I could probably gain that much extra space simply by shaving my head.

I'm 6'2 and have plenty of room in my coupe. However, like that one guy said, if I went back I would probably not buy a new civic si (at least an 06 or 07) due to all the annoying little problems that keep popping up (3rd gear grind/notchiness, popping suspension, rattling windows, grinding brakes etc.). Granted, many of the things are fixable, but it is a pain always taking your car back to the dealership. There are some people that will say they didn't have any problems, but then there are plently like me out there that have. However, the 08's may have fixed some of these problems... I would suggest going on 8th and looking at opinions to see whether you want to risk it or not or whether the 08's are improved significantly.

I got a sedan and I love it, theres always those days where I see a nice coupe and wish I had gotten it.
The functionality of the four doors and extra room really comes out at the drive in if you know what I mean lol

I have a 2006 SI Coup and the only issue I had was the 3rd gear thing which was fixed with new fluid. I have not had any other issues with my coup.
To be honest, you will be hard pressed to find any new car without some little irritating issues that need to be addressed. In my 33 years of driving I have purchased 8 new cars. 3 Honda, 1 Mazda, 1 Ford, 1 Toyota, 1 Oldsmobile and 1 Chevy. The reason I purchased 3 Honda's was because I had the least amount of trouble with them and they lasted the longest. After the Honda's, the Toyota would take 2nd place.

They may be for the 08's, i'm not sure though. Your best bet is to check 8th to check lots of different experiences. Lots of people have few (if any) problems, but a lot (like me) also have a ton of small problems. I've owned three hondas, and my 07 has given me way more head-aches than the others combined (my others never gave me any at all). The problems aren't huge and unfixable (some people still haven't gotten their 3rd gear fixed though), but it really is a pain to have to always take your car to the dealership and hassle the service crew. Check out numerous opinions and experiences and then make your decision from there. Best of luck!

well like i said, im 6'5. obviously im a person of the taller stature, so its kinda obvious i would go with a car with more headroom.
