Default PasswordJDM CarbonFiber Intake?

I am on the search for an intake (preferably SRI), heard the PasswordJDM was a good one but when i went to the website i couldnt find one for our cars? Does it exist, where can I get it, how much, is it worth it?

Does not exist, I had one for my car, it was great. Instant throttle response 200% over stock, mine was the non carbon fiber version. The design and engine layout for the new civics does not allow for such a shape intake to fit into the engine bay. Stick with a cheap ebay intake and get a good filter.

Dont get an ebay intake. Password is working on an intake for our cars, I plan on replacing my injen SRI with one.

Is the passwordJDM powerchamber intake just going to fit the si's? Or the base models too?

anybody know when to expect this intake? i got itchy pockets.... just bought the car 2 months ago and havent really done any mods (other than tint,if that counts). If the passwordjdm is worth the wait, what should i purchase in the mean time in that price range...

Done it. If 1-2hp is really worth $200 more, then go right ahead. Couldn't feel any difference between generic and AEM short ram on the butt dyno. Also the 1-2hp you see on charts is doctored, (fans blowing at the intake on the dyno). In the magazines you'll see when they tested intakes, the difference between all brands were less than 2hp, sometimes the generic made more hp. Its a toss up, but not worth the money IMO.

you guys are paying a premium over brand names. Just get a ebay intake, and a good filter. Will work similarly but costs way less

does anyone know for sure if the power chamber is going to require the battery relocated? this was the rumor a few months back. and with ebay intakes you take big chances as far as fitment issues, also the metals used are way sub par (thinner). i got my current injen in the for sale section of this forum for 140 shipped. stick with reputable companies imho.

Why? I'm sure the majority of us would rather spend the extra money (which isn't much) and buy a quality intake from a reputable company that we KNOW will not (for the most part) give us any problems down the line.

I don't like buying things from cheap ebay companies that i've never heard of. Most people don't.

It's a freaking pipe. $200 is a lot of money to me. What problems would an intake pipe have down the line? I had an AEM intake and an Ebay one with the AEM filter on it, works the same, I sold the AEM for the difference and painted my ebay one black.

How does an intake, make your MAP sensor non functional and you get CELs if there are appropriate sockets, holes, and plugs for them?

he didn't say MAP sensor, he said MAF sensor.

take a minute to read and learn. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_flow_sensor

You should understand now why a "tube" needs to be designed correctly when there's a sensor measuring airflow in it.

What you're saying about ebay intakes is in fact true for most Hondas. A 3" ebay SRI with a velocity stack makes more power than just about anything else on a NA b-series. With Honda's use of MAF sensors in the k20z3's, things have changed.

Also, keep in mind the filters that come with Ebay intakes are HORRIBLE. They usually rust, and sometimes are extremely porous. They basically just lack quality, and I wouldn't really want one on my Si if I had one.

Why spend 20K+ on a car and then put inferior mods on it. Pony up the cash you cheap bastards.

Only reason to get an intake for that much = carb sticker in california. Other than that, good filter + pipe ftw.

buying an ebay intake.....NO!
Get the pipe from ebay and get the filter from brand name?......NO!

most the intake pipe they sell on ebay's are very cheap and not durable.
I bought two intake from the ebay, but all the pipe keep fell off.
And also there are many intake from ebay have not bolts mounts.

I recommend to buy a brand name intake!

ebay intake will save you tons of money, but... nah...
I bought mine for $50 and other ones I spent $35.
it last long about couple month. it gets rusty.

So I bought Fujita intake for $120(used) it worth every penny.

ebay intake = YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
brand name intake = GO FOR IT.

im waiting on password jdm to come out with some kinda carbon intake for the newer si's because i just hate how a polished tube looks in the new civic's engine bay....

hope someone makes a good looking one like the t1R intake for the fit....

something like that would look sick in the newer si's
