i have a 97 hx coupe with a lsvtec swap. last night i when burnrubber(held um pass 8000). now my vtec pops earlier and my car dosnt feel as fast. could it be my timing played with my dizzy but it still pops early. any help would be appriciated

YES A GSR.WAT DO U MEAN BY ENGAGING I HEAR IT POP AT LIKE 4800 IT USE TO POP AT 5800. I ALSO HAVE A GSR COMPUTER. I THINK ITS CHIPED CASUE IT FEELS LIKE ITS REVS TO LIKE 10GRAND

and just because you can, doesnt mean you should. have you had it dyno tuned to go past the stock rev limiter? you may have blown something.

LOL sorry man. yes my cel is on. never got it dynoed. i never do the swap i bought the car from someone. drove the car this morning ran ok just the vtec pop early and feels slower. my idle cruises between 1500 and 2000 rpm. yeah my friends allways tell me not to hold um pass 8000 but me i hard head

your idle shouldnt be that high, id say first things first before you do anything is to run the code. theres a DIY at the top of this section of this forum.
come back here and post your results and ill be more than happy to help narrow stuff down
edit: butterflies are in the intake manifold (if you have the stock gsr mani)

check it out day. checked the spark plugs felt loose when i took um off. all look good. cap and rotor look ok than my friends noticed the switch on my com. was switched off. so we put everything back started it up turn the switch and it went back to normal so its all good now. POPIN VTEC CRAZY!!!
