99 ex sputters for a few minutes when I fill up with gas then runs fine any ideas?
The car was mistreated when I got it and I nursed it back to health but when I fill the tank it sputters and spits and idles funny for about two minutes then runs fine Im wondering if someone put something in the tank at some point I know the fuel filter would catch it but is there a way to flush the gas tank without taking it off the car?

 

When you got the car did you ever replace the fuel filter, considering it was mistreated. If you did then you might want to try some Lucas fuel system cleaner.
