Default Eagle rods making noise after install...

I have read somewhere on here that they are louder than stock. anyone with eagle rods notice a slight rattle like noise? when i say rattle, not like its falling apart. the engine runs great. i just noticed as the rpms go up the rattle was more noticeable (almost like a spun bearing but not as loud). I did a valve adjustment. everything was torqued correct (i checked 3x). any info will be good. thanks

I dont know, so i am just asking, but did you need to notch the block for the rods to clear? cause.. that would explain it all..

my eagles (in a b series) make no noise really while driving..the forged pistons are clunky at start up..thats about it

i also believe you must notch the block or the rods will hit the bottom of the cylinders.

Yes the block must have been notched, the crank will not spin if the block was not notched.

The rods should not make noise if the machine work was done correctly.

Talk to the shop that did the work. They should be able to help you.

What was the clearance of the piston to wall?

Who assembled the pistons on the rods?

With the engine at idle, pull one plug wire at a time and see if the noise stops at any one cylinder. If it does that's where the problem is.

block and girdle were both notched. it wouldnt run if it wasnt all clearances are good. i will try the plug idea, thanks
