Default 95 MM BC Crank....

Just wondering any of you guys/gals tried this unit with some higher hp... Dustin @ BC, has told me they are making over 1000whp on these cranks.. just wanted some input/experience

Ive built 3 setups so far with this crank at around 400+ whp, and so far not 1 issue..

pics of what??? the setup?? this is one of the ones ive done for a customer... rods would'nt quite fit so i had to machine them

setup was a 81.5 mm gsr motor with rlz head, i think if I remember correctly, we made 378 whp and 344 ft tq on RLZ's dyno on 12 psi... 3076r

price on the crank is fair

i did not notch the block, the botom of the sleeve is where the piston skirt would touch, so i wouldnt risk that, i took about 3 mm of the rod lip, not of the actuall beam so it would clear, i think if i remember correctly, it was about 2-4 mm i took of the rod lip (Diff on each rod)... Rota92, the crank imo is a very well designed/machined piece, just wondering if anyone has made over 800whp.. as for what im shootingfor with my new setup, wanting to make more power than my current, but with more displacement, and better spool up time..

They're great cranks, not OEM cores either. Cost a little bit of scrilla for their stroker kit. I'd rather piece my own bottom end together. If you got the money, go for it.

+1 for BC

and

+1 for 98mm Castillo cranks too

So you guys like replacing bearings, rings, and sleeves huh? Ha ha. The bores on a big power motor like that already take a beating. If you have the resources to perform the required maintenance with that stroke...have at it, but you are in for a treat in my opinion.

I haven't damaged a sleeve yet, but I don't mind the extra work. We usually have a good amount of time between races.

Yeah but you weren't worried about the $500 for the crank Short deck, big stroke...those cylinders will feel some pain.

if your a racer, you know the maintnance that is required to be top notch performance wise, rebuilding/refreshing the motor is not a problem, failure/breaking of parts is the problem.. why i ask if anyone has ever had this setup fail. Like i mentioned before, ive used this crank 3 times now all street car setups, and all 3 cars still runing good..

Im currently running 95mm crank in all motor setup. ***** has torque for days but rod bears require constant checks but the dyno numbers is worth the extra work between races. I just got to get my carbs dialed in better and see what happens.

bearings shouldnt be an issue... because of the long rod stroke (95mm ROD) it wears out your sleeve and your piston... but thats why i will try it out, since no one tried to make big power with these cranks...

Not here to argue but I beg to differ my friend. Whats between the rod and crank when its pushing the pistons against the wall (ROD BEARINGS) Ill be checking mine this week. If you don't care to check yours feel free to skip that maintenance check and see where you land after a few events.
