Hey guys, I just picked up a 89 CRX HF and I am having some problems... The car had been stilling for a couple of months before I purchased it, owner said it was a bad distributor, but it was found out that it was fouled spark plugs.. so i changed it.

When i was cranking it I noticed it was backfiring out of the intake, with a lot of smoke...and wouldn't start. After a lot of cranking... while hitting the throttling the car finally started.

The car idled fine, and I let the car warm up... after warm up I took it out for a test drive... when half throttling the car feels fine... but anything higher the car boggs really hard...and you can hear popping sounds coming from the intake.

What do you guys think the problem is......?.....
