When my car is at idle the revs drop and raise again back to the normal rpms. This happens periodically and when the CEL light came on I had it checked and was told P0505 Idle Air control Valve. My question is does anyone know where it is located? I see theres a post on the Guide to Accords but its for the 4cyl.

Has anyone had this problem with the V6 motor? Was cleaning it a temporary fix or permanent fix? Im tired of rattling away while at idle.

 

The MAP is the Snitch that causes this code.
Causes are; IACV mechanical malfunction
FITV malfunction, adjustment or coolant low
Throttle Body, air idle port clogged, or wrong adjustment
Vacum leak; at any point of the intake manifold
TPS incorrect output; as in Somebody jacked the throttle cable tight to adjust the idle.

Pull the IACV off and blast it out with Berrymans B-12
