Default I think I found my clutch problem

After pulling the tranny, I found my pressure plate looked like this:

I have not recieved my new clutch kit in the mail but I am assuming this is not right? My questions is, could I have done this when I pulled the tranny?? I didn't find anything so I am assuming it is gone. Also, my rls bearing would not move, I turned it by hand, (once the tranny was on the garage floor) and it popped back together...another problem. My parts come in on Thursday so I will get to see what new parts look like.....

Thanks again for the help...so far taking it apart has gone really smooth

What are you talking about rls bearing?... The throw out bearing or the pilot bear.?

No the pressure plate is not suppose to look like that. There might have been a chance but I doubt it that you broke it off when removing the transmission. I've hit the pressure plate with a big fuking hammer, and did no damage to it but dent it in...

But other than that good job! Also resurface the flywheel if you have some time.

Sorry, yes the throw out bearing..the bearing that rides on the rls fork....

Yes, I had the flywheel resurfaced. Just waiting on my clutch kit. I ordered it from autopartswarehouse.com, and they are taking about 10days to get it to me. I guess I saved $50 from what I could get locally..

Thanks again...
