Has anyone seen a "factory" chipped ecu? does it exist?

well, i received this ecu in a partial payment for a socketed ecu, broke it open to socket it and find this: 
upon further checking, it looks factory, this solder job is incredible, just like all the other factory parts, and uses the factory resistors and jumpers. was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this? also, its a 94 automatic P28

The one pictured above is USDM. They did this when they used the ECU in a different vehicle than the programmed processor was intended for. Also when there was a change done to the firmware after the processor had already been programmed. As you can see here, this processor was originally intended to be used in a P05, but it went into a P28, so they had to use the external program access (AKA chipping) to make the firmware match the hardware.
