approx 100k miles and the automatic transmission starts to leak. local mech believes its a front oil seal?

Is there a front oil seal on the transmission? Is this a common problem in civics? I've searched around and don't see much on the topic.

it could be the input shaft seal/bearing on the transmission, if your positive its the tranny leaking.

 

Thanks - will get under it tomorrow and check to be sure.

 

Is the fluid red or brown/black?
