need help.....sohc vtec...
hey wats up i got an ek with a sohc vtec..the recent owner put it together,,,i have a d15 block,d16 head and a d17 intake manifold...im low in cash so i cant afford a swap rite now...but wat i need help on is that...my motor lags to rev up vtec kicks in at 5600 but it lags to rev up...i checked my timing and its good..can any one help me...

"Lags" is pretty damn ambiguous.
Check your fuel pressure?
Did you **** with the VTEC via VAFC or some other bullshit hack?
Most likely you're feeling lag because it's a D15 block (I don't even think they made 1.5L blocks from '96-'00) w/ a D16XX head and you're probably using a D15B7 ECU.
Put a P28 in there or a P2P depending on which head it is (Z6 or Y8, respectively) - the stock ECU for that head, that'll probably change some ****.
