Problem with skunk2 intake manifold!

Default Problem with skunk2 intake manifold!

i have an 96 civic with the d16y8 and just installed a skunk2 intake manifold. when i started the it idles from 2k to 4k. can anyone plz help me solve this problem

check to make sure you dont have a vacumm leak then check your map and tps sensor

^ sounds like a good start, could be a tb problem not intake manifold problem. but check it anyways to make sure all gaskets on mani and tb sealed nicely. and take chingpo05's advice.

how do i check the map and tps sensor?

Do you have the IAT port on the drivers side of the manifold blocked off?

nah i dont have it blocked. should i use a bolt to block it?

Yes, you should. I just put a bolt in it and it was fine.
Also, did you resuse your old intake manifold gasket or did you put a new one on?

i put a bolt in it and it solved it. now my rpms drop all the way down and the car shuts off. also i took it for a drive and when it hits 3k it starts jerking

pulling back and foward. it only does it in when it hits 3k rpms

Can't a couple sensor's connectors be switched around? Like the TPS and something else? I'm forgetting...

The tps and the map sensor plugs are the same. Make sure that they arnt switched around.
Do you have any cel's?

the tps and map sensors plugged in right. i dont have any cels. then its starts pulling back and foward its throwing out white smoke from under the hood and coming out from the exhaust.
