Default 99 gsr motor in eg - tranny or clutch problem

I stopped at the stop light and tried to put it in 1st but my clutch just gave way, it was soft. My clutch is all the way down and does not have pressure to push back. I can not put it in any gears, had it towed home.

Here what I've done:
-Check clutch fluid, good.
-took off the tranny and replace street/strip clutch to stock and same ACT pressure plate, same problem.

Anything else I should check? Is it clutch or tranny problem? Trying to avoid new tranny...

check the master and slave cylinders for the clutch. I think what you're describing sounds like the master cylinder giving out. I had a master cylinder give out in my old EH, never leaked but just stopped holding pressure. If you can, try picking up a master/slave cylinder for the civic (the teg one isn't any different afaik), hth.
