Default turbo options

ive been readin a bunch in the forced induction forum as well as the "official turbo prelude thread" ... ive been wantin to boost the lude for a while and now that i got a tax return im startin to look into parts... i was thinkin about piecin together a kit .. wondering what would be a good turbo for 7-8 psi max.. ive also been lookin at the greddy emanage ultimate but i guess that its total trash? how do you go about chiiping and tuning a p28 or obd1 ecu operate the engine and not throw cels and stuff.. i pretty much just wanna run light boost for a while and just get it tuned good ( i realize i should get it dyno tuned but id really enjoy being able to play with it a bit myself) so i like the part of emanage where you can have the screen on your dash tellin you whats goin on with all sorts of sensors and changin your fuel maps and stuff ( can you set up something to kinda mess with stuff a little in real time with a chipped ecu? )

You have alot of questions, alot of answers in the Prelude forum FAQ, there is a wealth of knowledge there for the taking, G/L!

hondata s300, you can use a laptop and do your own tuning, as fora turbo only running 7-8 psi, any turbo wil do, but if you want more power a turbo with a bigger exhaust a/r will create mor power, but have slower spool vs a smaller a/r turbo with quick spool but chokes on the top end, my.63 ar turbo had good spool , but i now have a .82 a/r ball bearing and its the baest of both worlds, either way if your really looking for power later, which you will,
i would save your money up and get a nice lovefab, or spoolin manifold and you'll make around 50 more h.p. compared to a log manifold, at the same psi. i know i wish i did.

haha, yes!! Very important.

contact this hombre for your turbo.

pending the turbo setup you go with and tune, 7-9 psi could be anywhere from 250whp - 400whp. Choose an area of power you want, i'd personally go for a ~300whp setup with a turbo that isnt peaky and holds a flat torque curve considering you have a stock motor.

actually a really good place to go to is phearable.net. This guy John vega will run you a base map for your turbo set up. Just gather all of your parts and figure out what your set up is going to be. Once you find out your set up just give him all the info. He will give you a chipped p28 ecu with the base map installed. And if plans change then just order a new chip for $30. He even than the obd1 to obd2 harness for sale at discount. I recommend you check him out.

at phearable p72 is $250 alone and hondata s300 is$ 590. and 75 for the harness. Does anybody has a turbonetic turbo ? How are they compare to other turbo? Sorry turbo thread is way to many pages for me. Thinking about buying a member turbo kit.
