The transmission wouldn't go into gear easily. The shifter could turn the shaft and flop around. Then I got it into a gear, but the shifter was could still be flopped all over the place. I could let out on the clutch a little and it was in fourth maybe. I didn't want to mess something up so I decided to drop it. I have pictures of the internals. Y80 *1020980* serial.

If anyone can see a problem with the trans please post or pm me. I am a noob with transmissions, but would like to fix it myself. I do not know the history of the trans, but it appeared to have been opened before. Does not look like it has lsd, but the gear teeth are perfect. Maybe been rebuilt. Every other part of the drivetrain has been. Heeeeeelp. Thanks and feel free to download the pictures for your own reference.

Anyone have transmission experience? If you do can you see anything wrong in the pictures? Would anyone recommend taking it to a shop?

 

I still need help. During my bench tests, the trans doesnt seem to want to go into neutral. It shifts through the gears now, but I cannot get it into neutral. I have a link to the manual to compare if you like go to page 350...... http://files.clubcivicquebec.c...l.pdf
