Help car is being weird after Valve Job
Ok well i've been having this problem with my car ever since they did the valve adjustment on my car. I thought it might of not been done properly so I had 2 other shops do it just to make sure they were'nt over adjusted too tight or too lose. They all checked out. Well the problem i've been having is that i get a surging idle and the engine sputters. I've already checked the IACV and it's working properly I cleaned out the TB put a new gasket also check for any lose or cracked vaccum hoses I also replaced the ignition coil cuz it burnt out, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and also a new fuel filter even though I only had 8k miles on the old one. And after all thats said and done the car still idles all stupid and sputters like if it were missing.. Than I had my friend check the timing see if by anychance i might of jumped a tooth and its all still right. So I told him what if its the fuel pump and he said could be. So with the car running I pinched the return line to build up pressure in the fuel rail and the car stopped sputtering so now my question is could it be the fuel pump or the fuel pressure reg that are going bad. I really don't want to waste more money and find out that it wasn't the problem. Also the problem is only persistent during idle but will driving around town or on the freeway the car runs flawless with NO power loss....So if anyone can help me out i'd really appreciate it.
