What sway bar do you run w/ your full race traction bars on EF? My ST front hits
Howdy.... I have a slight clunking sound coming front my front end under accel or decel. I can't find any loose hardware, but I can see where my Suspension Techniques front bar hits the Full Race traction bar on the lower control arm. I grinded the sway bar a little to remove material where it was hitting. I removed as much as I could without getting carried away. It sill makes that noise though. I'm sure it's still hitting under load. Anyone experience this?
If you run the full race traction bars on your ef and a sway bar, which bar you running?
Thanks in advance.

Take off your front bar. Up your front spring rate. Up your compression dampening. Run an HF bar.
UPDATE
I did remove the front bar and drove it around. Sound is still there. It clicks once under hard braking, and then clicks again really hard once I accel. Scarry sound. I'm going to triple check all my bolts on the suspension again and get back to ya.
Current spring rate is 400f 450r with tokico illumna. The HF bar huh, cool. I actually liked the way it handled on turn in without the front bar on it just now. It felt more stable overall (with my limited driving time and experience)with the front bar though. So the smaller HF bar may be just what the doctor ordered.
I checked everything again under there and didn't find one loose bolt. Something loads up under braking, and then unloads when I accel again. Could it be axle? Only thing that pops into my head.
What spring shock setup you running and with what rates? Just wonderin

the noise you are hearing sounds like the traction bar is loose. check the heim joints and check the lock nuts. mine doinded like this..before the threads stripped out. thanks to the previous owner being a MORON!
defiantely hf bar is the way to go. depending on what tire your on will dictate front spring. im running 650 front in my chitbox with buddycruds

I thought it sounded like traction bar too. I'll loosen everything up and check it again. I'm a moron most of the time, so I like to hear what other idiots have done too.
Tires for the next couple of years will most likely be Falcon Azeenas due to price.

I checked them and they were tight. It's blowing my mind!
It sounds like a ball joint popping that resonates in the body. If I place my left foot firmly on the floor board and make it pop by decel and a quick accel, I can feel it.
Any other suggestions for me to check?

check upper and lower blaajoints, outer tie rod, axle (make sure the shaft isnt hitting the fork too), engine mounts, subframe bolts
I'm not sure if it's an ingalls, but it's the type that is a fixed amount of adjustment. It's not a cool sliding outer ball joint type, but instead the type that replaces the two inner chassis mounts of the upper control arm with an offset version that dials out some camber..
I had to cut my chassis there at the seam to allow upper control arm to travel without hitting the chassis. I hear that's pretty common from reading posts on here. It's not a bang type sound I hear, more like a pop of something that has stress on it.... If that makes any sense.
Have you heard of these types of camber kits making noise?
