Was the hood catch still spaced out after you got it back from the body shop?

Yup...all they did was paint the car, fix the dent on the bumper and redo the side moldings...I still have yet to fix it myself...maybe this weekend.

so the JDM front end is not a total bolt on? Why is there a gap on the rad support?

because hood and front brace (where headlights are bolted) are about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch longer than usdm.

I've seen a hatch w/jdm front end painted black and i like it better...it has that mysterious attitude look...I didnt want to have to repaint the door jams and the inside of the car so I kept the same color...Plus my wife thought I was just having the front and rear bumpers painted...

Where did you get the paint done, and how much...Looks shiny.

Local bodyshop in San Francisco...His shop is one of the few in the area that fixes plastic bumpers. My JDM front end had a sizeable dent and no one could fix it...Charged me $1000 cash plus $50 for repainting all side moldings...he even installed and painted my JDM rear wing. Normally, a job like this would have cost between $1500 to $2500...from what I hear. Thanks.
