Default 92-95 civic cowl hood

Does anyone know if they make a cowl hood for a 92-95 civic coupe, and if so who and where. All help appreciated.

u can jus put 3 washers where the hood bolts on and your hood would be raised! same heat passage idea for 3 bucks!

Save your money. Or spend it on something that will make the car perform better.

I need a cowl hood for a 95 EG sedan to clear the LS swap I put in. It sits a cople inches higher and now the hood rests on the engine when its closed. I DO NOT want to do a front end conversion to make a EK hood fit either.

If it sits higher than you've done something wrong

Make one?

If you use hood spacers and cut out the metal supports will it not fit? Is it on the valve cover itself or just the intake that's having clearance issues?

I thought I gave an answer. The issue is not the hood. You need figure out why your swap, which seems to be pretty common, is having issues when no one else seems to be reporting clearance problems. Are you using some odd mounts or something?

As I mentioned above...making your own hood can be simple if you have, or know somebody who has some decent body work skill. Get a universal cowl hood scoop that has dimensions that would fit your hood...mock it up...measure twice...cut once...secure it down...and if you want a super smooth look use fiberglass or related fillers till you get the desired effect. Paint...enjoy.

It does seem odd that this swap wouldn't fit...and to repost my last question...is it valve cover clearance or intake manifold clearance?

I hate to revive an old thread, but....my issue IS the valve cover hitting the webing on the under side of the hood. I AM using stock EG mounts (using trans, timeing and rear rocker mounts) w/ B16a2 in my 92 VX. I am wondering if any one has tryied cutting the USDM oem hood "bump" and making it a little higher(1/4 - 1/2''). The reinforcing webbing would oviously have to go w/ the "bump" or be modified some other way to make the clearance.

Side note: my hood will close, but if slammed it dents the webbing and I don't want to have a running car but a working car. Thanks in advance....even for the smart *** answers too.
