OK I HAVE A TURBO SINGLE CAM, 8.5:1 COMPRESSION, TUNED ON ECTUNE..JUST ABOUT EVERY TIME I GET ON THE THROTTLE, IT WILL SHUT DOWN JUST LIKE BOOST CUT, BUT ITS NO WHERE NEAR BOOST CUT PSI. ALSO AFTER IT CUTS IT WILL START RUNNING REALLY ROUGH AS IF IT IS FLOODING THE CYLINDERS OR STARVING THEM. WHEN IT RUNS ROUGH IT STAYS RICH ON THE GAUGE, THEN ABOUT 30 SECONDS GO BY AND IT HICK UPS AND RUNS PERFECT. THE TUNE I HAVE DOES NOT HAVE A LEAN OR RICH CUT, BECAUSE IT DOES NOT UTILIZE AN O2 SENSOR. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, TIMING IS ON POINT, CAR HAS FULL COMPRESSION, NO OVERHEATING, I HAVE ARP STUDS SO I KNOW THE HEAD IS NOT LIFTING....IM VERY STUMPED RIGHT NOW, ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. well if you dont know what you are doing take it in to your tuner should be an easy fix

 

is the car tuned? what size injectors r u using? sounds like u need to fine tune some areas in your maps/program

 

sound like ur blowing ur spark out, try re gaping your plugs down a bit

 

tuner cost money...im mechanically enclined and can fix this myself, just looking for a lead.

as for the others who are nicer and want to help, its tuned on ec tune with 450cc injectors..thanks again!

 

Glad you found the caps lock.I went thru a similar deal and it was the igniter.
