does anyone have a DC JDM 4-1 header on their Si. i'm about to get one with a test pipe because it has a 2.5" collector. is the power gain worth it or should i get just an Apex or Greddy since i have the N1 exhaust?

Yes the power gain is worth it. And buy a cat...don't just run a testpipe.

how is the dc jdm 4-1 better than the regular dc 4-1? I am planning on buying the regular soon but maybe some one can convince me otherwise.....

 

It really depends what you're doing with the engine. I wanted a 2.5" collector because I'm going with cams eventually. I think if all you're doing is I/H/E the regular DC would be fine.

 

why do you suggest to run a cat instead of the test pipe??

because if you get pulled over you will be screwed if there is no cat on the car.

 

Word.. It's true not worth it. Carsound cat should be more than fine..

 

get the carsound cat if you are worried about the noise and/or emissions. the JDM DC 4-1 and most JDM headers have a 2.5" collector where as most USDM headers have a 2-2.25" colllector.
