im going to remove the a/c compressor out of my 4th gen.

Do I need a different size belt?
Can I just remove the compressor easily or would having the car up in the air help a lot?

2. you'll have to see what works out best for you, but i'm guessing the crossmember might get in the way if your going at it from the bottom.

 

37" 6 rib belt. if this an h22 we're talking about.

if techs at store can't locate a belt w/out a part number the part number contains the measurements and rib # like 037f6 or something like that.

I went to a strauss auto, pep boys, and autozone and they couldn't locate the belt without a part number. After i finally explained how the part numbers works they looked for it but 2 out of 3 didn't even have then in stock (guess they are not that common). They try to pull the car up and select it by part number but i explained that this engine didn't have an option to remove ac, other engines for the prelude did, but

 

hmmm did all preludes come with a/c? even the S model?

no, you're not listening

some of the preludes came without a/c, but none of the h22 preludes came without a/c........and the belts are not the same......h22 has 6rib belt
