Default Car Overheating....

I know this has probably been covered before and i used the SEARCH and couldnt find another problem like this one.

So i was driving home today and as i was turning down my street i was looking at my temp gauge and it was alot higher then what it normally is so i continued to watch it and it started to move slowly. So i was pulling into my drive way and the temp gauge went past the half way mark and just kept going so i turned off the car. and then restarted it and the fans were on, and the temp gauge went back down so i let it sit at idle for bout 5 mins and it stayed the same.

So does anyone know what it could be or why this would happen? could it be the fan switch or the thermostat?

well i was gonna get the spoon thermostat and the buddy club fan switch so i figured that would most likely take care of everything.

If your caR is mostly stock, use OE parts. no need for anything else.
Especially if you are on the stock ECU.

Did you do a flush recently? May be some air bubbles in there. Do as Jacko says.
