Antenna Question
I have a 1990 Accord DX. The antenna on my car snapped in half. I wanted to replace it with a new one but when I went on ebay I noticed all the antennas that were for sale were for the accords with "power antennas". Will the power antenna still work on my car and also does anyone know how i can remove the broken antenna from my car and install the new one?
Thanks for the help guys.

The manual antenna mast IS different from the power antenna mast.
To replace the mast you'll need to unscrew the retaining nut at the base of the antenna mast.
The tube that holds the antenna is behind the trunk liner.
Here's a link to a power antenna R&R similar to your situation.

ok, good! At least now I know how to replace the antenna. My question is will this antenna work with my car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
The link you attached is for the mast only for a power antenna, it will not work for your car. You can get a replacement from Honda (another metal one) or look for one of the flexible black ones (less likely to break it again).
Since it looks like the initial question was answered...let me ask this.. If I want to take out my power antenna and replace it with a stubby black rubber antenna maybe 6 or 8" long....where would I find a the fixed base and the antenna?
