i have one off a 03 type s, it'll plug in but you might need to take it to the dealership to get it reprogram for the chip in the key and ecu.

factory alarms are..well...factory alarms. They will alert you if your car is being broken into. If their are no marks, no broken windows and the alarm did not sound. Then there's a 99.8% chance he forgot to lock it. Unless someone else took his valet key and he didn't know it, that's really the only other way.

Did your homie have any luck with reprogramin the ecu? He either need to bring his car to the dealership or he can to take the ignition imobilizer there with the ecu (it's the black piece from the front of the ignition) They need that to match the code of the key and ecu.

I remember seeing that too, I never was impressed with the outcome. I couldn't imagine trying stuff it in to my old civic, only to have it look stupid.
