So i've been throwing a CEL for knock sensor on my CRX. Its a d16y8 running OBD0 with a PR3 (B16A OBD0 ECU). I tried doing the knock sensor bypass:

And when I cut the wire for the knock sensor to splice it, I no longer throw the CEL (with disconnected wire)

Is this normal? My CEL still comes on at KOEO like it should, but before once the car got to normal temp it would throw CEL and stay on. Now it doesn't come on anymore. Any advice?
