Default smokes a little by the turbo manifold?

i just installed a brand new turbo and when i hit boost, doesn't feel like it is pulling as hard as it used to be, is it because i haven't broken in the turbo yet? but why is there some smoke coming on the the side of the turbo manifold? can you help me out?

It's normal for mani to smoke. I bought a used turbo kit, and smoke like a weed head. It's should smoke for a bit, then it should go away.
