Default Stupid question

I just dropped a '00 LS motor in my '97 CX. with the exception of the IAC plug being different, and the downstream o2 sensor wires not being long enough, and the crank sensor wire stuff ... the engine wiring harness all clicked in where it should be. my question is, if i do the crank sensor bypass trick, and replug the iac... would the ECU from the 97 cx work? I mean aside from maybe a little different base maps and fuel curves, i don't see why it wouldn't work? Maybe I'm just naive. If anyone could tell me, i'd greatly appreciate it. thanks.
