Anyone Know where this Dowel Pin and O-Ring Belong?
OK you guys had the answer to my last question pretty fast i hope its the same with this one.
My friend took this Dowel Pin and little O-Ring out and i have no idea where it came from. He told me not to loose it or else id be screwed. Im clueless with this one.
My head has its dowel pins and so does my tranny. Any advice helps. Thanks again.

The One thats underlined in red is what im unsure of, the other bigger one is from the tranny

on the pin, look at your engine side or on the transmission side, you will see two holes, thats where the two pins go (the underlined one, two small ones the same size) you might even see the other one stuck on the trans or engine. that where the pin goes you should have two. this helps align the transmission to the engine. as far as the o ring, cant remember off hand where that goes. i dont even think thats part of the transmission either. i dont recall any o ring for the transmission.
and you dont really need the pins. most pull them out since they get bent alot of the times.

The one you're calling the "tranny" one is the pin that goes between the transmission housing and the block, right? That would make the other one really small. No idea on either, sorry.
Im happy knowing that you guys are cool enough to help and post diagrams, this helps me understand a whole lot more. Im completely new to working on engines. Ive only been doing it for a few months and this is my first build so im being extremely cautious. If theres any resources you guys have with pictures or diagrams similar to these can u let me know? Ill be searching the web today trying to figure it all out.
Like i said before this is my first build so try not to laugh to hard at some stupid questions i might have. Honda-Tech's my First resource to come too and so far you guys have been more then ready to answer my questions. Im very thankful for everyones help and cant wait to get this done.

If you look through all the sections on the parts page of Sons Acura website, you might be able to get some idea.
I find it a great help top save the URL for the main parts list that way you can just click on the section diagram that you need. This is example for a 2000 ITR, but you can go back and do it for any year. Then just save it in your favorites as "2000 Type R parts list".
