k well i went to the YMCA and i had a locker with a key lock... it had my car keys and wallet... they picked my locker lock and stole both of my items i had an acura key because i needed a new igntion switch and got one out of an acura... but wierd thing is they didnt steal my car lol and i just replaced it and didnt get a spare now is there a way to g rig my ignition where i dont need a key if so how or is there a way to make a new key because i really dont want to have to buy ANOTHER one after buying one a few days ago.. idk if they were looking for an acura or what oh its an igntion switch for a 96 civic if its any different.. thanks to everyone that helped

 

keys are like $5 at the dealership... just go buy a new one, why make it look like you jacked your own car when a cop pulls you over??

Not sure your going to get much help on here other than that ^^^^^ something about providing info to someone on how to potentialy steal a car...not saying you are...but

 

no its just that i just bought one and i really dont want to buy another one and since i dont have the key to get a copy i dont know if there is any way to get another key made and if there isnt id rather figure out a way to not need a key at all

 

just pull the ignition and take it to a key smith or the dealer and they will re-key it for you
