with je and 84mm b16 pistons its either 9.5:1 or 8.3:1... my plan was to run 9.5:1 but when I was chatting with the guy who will more than likely be tuning it yesterday.. he said he would feel more comfortable closer to 9:1 tuning the 35r to 30lbs.. not sure why he said that.. not sure how to calc comp..what would using the .051 gasket net me? i have not purchased the head gasket yet so i can always stick with the stock thickness.
Also I have always read mixed things about head gaskets and hondas.. some swear by the cometic gaskets.. and some swear that OEM is the way to go.. ??? i know GE sales reworked (84mm) oem gaskets

You want cam gears, between decking/milling and that headgasket your engine isn't in mechanical time anymore.
Frankly? I'd have recommended going with a bigger bottom end than B16, but regardless if you crank the boost **** up you'll be very happy.

yea im going to run with oem thickness... 9.5:1 will be fine... its only gonna see prob 14-18lbs on the reg.. 28-30 for track purposes and ill have race gas in it so.... i dont see detonation being a prob.. i too would have went with a larger bottom end... but the hatch already had the b16 in it when i picked it up so... b16 it is.. at least its a bit bigger (1715cc) with the 84mm bore
