Falken Azeni RT-615 (205/50/15) VS Advan Neova AD07 (195/55/15)
(mean to do 205/50 for the azeni in the title, i need to eat!)
So im just doing some research for the future and ive been reading a lot of great reviews on both tires. Ive seen where i can get a hold of the neovas for 320, which is about on par with the prices for the azenis right now. They both have equal amounts of grip, and ive heard they both over heat over time, but where is the limit? i dont know
anyways, to the question, if the tires seem to be as equal as everyone makes them out to be, would there be any benefit in running the azeni's because of the wider tire. Even if the neovas were a better tire on a small scale, would i find more performance in the azenis because of the width?

1. According to Grassroots Motorsports, the RT-615 is quicker than the AD07.
2. The RT-615 is cheaper than the AD07.
3. That size AD07 isn't available from Yokohama dealers in North America, so you'll have to get it from an importer, meaning that it will be more expensive and won't have a warranty that any Yokohama dealer will honor.
All of which says...
Advantage: Falken Azenis RT-615.
Now, if you would like to consider the 195/55-15 size of the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 instead of the AD07, you'll have a very close comparison (and I would take the Z1 over the RT-615).

have you had much experience with the Z1? and could you compare the ad07 with it well? my tire knowledge is that of a penny
what really makes you chose the z1 over the 615's?

My friend ran my 205/50/15 615's at the track and loved them... even though they got a little oily. His most recent track day he ran the AD07's and was not happy with the grip... They did not feel has firm as the 205/50 615's at higher speed turns. Ill add in more info once i talk to him some more.

I haven't driven them yet, but everyone who has says they're as quick as the RE-01R, which is faster than the RT-615. And the Z1 turned quicker dry lap times than the RE-01R in Tire Rack testing.

Althought Grassroots did say that the Azenis RT615 was faster than the Neova AD07, I have to say I completely disagree.
The AD07 is a far superior tire to the Azenis RT615. The ADO7 is much stickier, does not get greasy, and does not fall off like the Azenis after 8-10 heat cycles.
My experience with both tires has not been on a civic, but on a pseudo-nationally competitive E36 M3 in SCCA autox STU class (street tire). I gained at least 1-2 seconds on a 60 sec autox course switching from the Azenis to the Neova. I used to have to spray the Azenis with water after every run, and after 2 runs the Azenis had always gotten slower. The Neovas are still always sticky and never lose grip. Neovas are no question faster than the Azenis. just look at the national SCCA autox results.
now the neovas are super expensive. apparently the new Dunlop direzza is on par with the Neova and RE01R. And it is amazingly cheap. The Dunlop is what I would get these days!

i have the z1's i love em...they grip hard...after warmed which is not hard at all to do...i just know know if im a fan of the size...havent tracked em yet.
I run the Falkens on my Evo. They are great for autocross because they don't take long to heat up. The grip well until they get hot and then start to scrub off a bit. They're cheap which is good but they wear out too fast.
