I know if you had hfp items bought and put on when you got your car its covered. Question would be if you bought some and put them on would it void any other warrenties and would honda have to install it.
If you bought the part, and your and your buddies put it on the dealership would charge you labor to pull them off and put them back on but the parts would be free.
If you bought them and had an independent shop put them on the shop couldn't guarantee the work because you supplied the parts. The parts would still be free and they may discount their rate if you are lucky.
Often enough if you build a relationship with an independent shop or a dealer they will cut you breaks because you are a regular customer. If you are a die hard DIY'er then you won't be extended much leniency.
I once had a 2000 Hatch with an *** load of bolt ons, suspension, brakes, wheels and I had the same shop do all the work. When it was time to trade it I returned it to stock and the shop reduced thier rate by 50%.

Yes, but the cost of labor to remove the parts is not free unless you paid for the parts and installation at a dealer, or the shop in which installed them. I know of no business that will remove, for free, parts you supply just so you can take the parts back to exchange them under warranty and install the replacements.
He made no mention of warranty in his post, only the work.

If you paid to have them install the parts, why wouldn't you take it back to them for warranty work? If you installed it yourself, you could remove the defective part and reinstall the new you receive because of warranty.

He asked if the parts are covered by warranty. He also asked that (if they are covered a warranty), if they would need to be installed by a Honda dealer to retain that warranty. He didn't say it in the smoothest way possible, but that's what he asked.
OP, HFP parts are covered under the warranty in the link I posted.

Accessories carry 12mo/12k mi warranty. If the accessories are installed @ the time of purchase before you've taken delivery they carry the same 3/36 warranty as the vehicle.

thanks for the correct info. So then would it be better to go with the hfp or another route, just cause i know the hfp only drops about 1in but was wondering if you would have to deal with less camber issues oppsed to tein, skunk2,etc.
I don't know too much about suspension, but I have read over my warranty information a couple of times, lol.
From what I hear, HFP doesn't perform like companies that have a lot of money in suspension (eibach, tein, skunk2,etc) but that is only what I hear.
Try posting that question in the suspension forum. I guarantee you will get lots of information over there.

I am not going to argue with you anymore, because I don't think we are on the same page.
Yes, I know the parts are covered under warranty and yes I know it's for 12 months. The buyer would have to bring the part back to place of purchase. The buyer may even have to return it to the specific dealer he purchased it from.
I am not debating whether there is a warranty on the parts or if the warranty is still good if installed at a place other than a Honda dealership. I am informing people that if an individual purchased the HFP suspension components in a seperate transaction elsewhere and they had these parts installed at an independant garage that garage would NOT uninstall the defective parts and reinstall the new parts for free. No independant shop is going to honor a warranty on a part they didn't sell, nor perform free labor to remove the part should it become defective. Any warranty issued from garage extends to the workmanship of the service.
Also, if you roll up to a Honda dealership with the HFP suspension that was sold/installed by someone else the dealer is not going to do free work to remove the defective part either. Call them, they will tell you "if you didn't buy it from us, and didn't have it installed by us we can't perform any labor under warranty as we didn't do the installation."

Yeah...I figured that would just be understood. You'd have to be a complete moron to think that someone would warranty work they didn't do. Don't take that as me calling you a moron. I just think you were stating, what should be obvious.
