The car is assembled in Canada. Not sure about the motor.

Really? Hmm...weird.
Did people just tell you that, or did you physically see that? I am pretty sure all the K20z3s are from Japan.
Well then why did you create this thread?

Exactly what I was thinking. But then again, 07SIcpe says his window sticker says his transmission's country of origin is Canada, when you can see that mine is from Japan. I don't know. As far as I knew, the only difference between the earlier Si's(2006-2007) and my 2008's transmission was the fluid they filled them up with.

OK, I have an 06 Si and Window Sticker says USA. My dad bought an 08 Si and the Window Sticker says Japan.
So not sure why they would have changed. Or if all 08 Si's motors are from Japan. Also my 06 is a FG and my dads 08 is a FA. Not sure if Doors make a difference.

That theory wouldn't be correct, because I have an FG and the motor and trans are from Japan. This is weird lol. Either way, I feel better that motor and tranny were built in Japan. If only the thing was painted there; then I'd have no complaints with the car. Lol.

Maybe this explains it. Sounds like all of Honda's Americanization (G W taught me how to read and write) could result in motors being made over here. I'm guessing this is a bad thing.
