Default Skunk2 intake manifold. with throttle body

im about to buy a skunk2 intake manifold with throttle body.. not only will it help with hp. but it also looks real clean and will clean up my engine bay a little bit. the throttle body is what im worried about. I get to pick the size of the bore. 68mm/70mm72mm or 74mm. is 74 too much? it might be overkill. and will it mess up my air to fuel ratio.. or should i go for it?

thanks again for your help

Unless your boosted, i wouldnt go higher than a 68mm. Just consider that a d series is a 56mm stock.

Why? Anything over 68mm on a n/a is overkill.

You can get a 72mm or whatever, do what you please, but your going to kill your top end. The only thing your gaining from a 70+ tb is volume, thats it. Your gaining volume, but losing velocity. Velocity is what gives you that high end hp. Like i said before, unless your boosted, dont go over 68mm.

Sounds good, how does your exhaust setup look like?
Your not going to benefit much from the intake setup if your motor cant expell the exhaust gasses efficiently.

Well, youll net some pretty decent gains from the intake bolt-ons.
You might want to look into bypassing the fitv and the iacv coolant lines to keep your air intake temps down.
