h2b w/ auto trans good or bad?
Theoretically an automatic would give more consistent drag times.
There was a thread on this in the hybrid section a couple of day's back. It ended with the same answer though "auto + h2b = won't work"

I couldn't really see it being worth it either. I'd rather just practice my consistency with a short geared 5 speed than wait for my "consistent" long geared 4 speed auto to blow up

just go 5 speed bro. practice makes perfect. and like stated before the auto trans is much larger and the mounts are diff and would have to be fabbed up. but if you got the $$ and that what you want then go for it. just my $.02
Here's something else to consider. Automatic transmissions have greater HP losses. So a given motor with an automatic is going to have lower WHP for a given crankshaft HP. In other words, although your times might be more cosistent, they will just be more consistently slow.

I don't think that would be an issue. The starter would be my first concern.
