Advanced Ign. timing? few questions
16 deg +/- 2 deg. Dyno test it....some like it all the way up to 18 some will start dropping off.....
My friends loves 18 deg...and makes good power there....
Mine doesn't like anything more that 16.5 or so.....
It's a car by car basis, so the only way to see what you need is on a dyno....

You need to "jump" the service connector (is that how it is called) located near the ECU on the passenger side while you do the adjustment. Otherwise the ECU will compensate for whatever modification you will do. Go to c-speedracing.com for a good step by step description.
Well, you need to short out part of the system, then start the car, change the timing, pull out the paper clip you used to short out part of the system and then turn the car off. Then it will stay at 18, otherwise it will drop back to 16 if you turn the car off and the pull the clip.
