i just did my gsr brake swap for my 93 civic dx. Seemed like i don't need the prop valve for it. Is it going to run okay?

Also wondering if i have SS brake lines from cx/dx front brakes, would it work on gsr swaps?

you can run it like that, but you do need it if you want the right amount of fluid to go where it's needed. not sure though, but i heard they lokk up easier (especially the back) when the prop valve is not swapped.

may i ask, who told you it's not needed? it doesn't take but 10 minutes to swap out and you can find them at any junk yard that carries imports or on ebay.

 

actually i have one on hand right now, but out of all of the tutorials i've been reading the pv is not needed. Sorry for my ignorance but any enlightment would definately help

less fluid is sent to the rear being that the drums take less pressure to apply unlike discs that require more.

if you noticed, 92-95 civic w/o rear disc brakes use the 3030 valve. the disc in the front are usually smaller as well.

i had a 89 honda accord. it had the exact prop valve that my 93 civic had, but being it was a drum set up the valve was a 3040, the 30 part ran to the rear and the 40 part ran to the fron, being that the front has 10.5" rotors. actually it had the same exact front set up as the integras and civic ex's have.

since jdm itr's, gsr, eg6 (ones i came across) don't have abs but have rear disc brakes use the 4040 valve.

 

u must use a gsr prop valve if you want them to work corectly if you have one just install it trust em u will notice a big difference in stopping

gs-r have abs , i got 1 from a rs integra. 90 or 91 , its a 40/40 .
