Default D15B2 help

I need help trying to tune my stock D15B2 with an auto tranny. I want to get some power out of it but I'm not sure where to get a good cam for it. I want to get about 150-160 hp out of it. I don't know how unreasonable those numbers are but I just want more power. I have had this car for 4 years and use it to drive to college. I am tiered of not being able to smoke 'em at lauch or much of anything for that matter. I've got basic stuff done to it, I just want it running at it's prime. Thanks.

PS: It is a CRX...

What's the budget -
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Driven &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Question:
What's the BEST engine for my Honda?

Answer:
125cc Honda dirt bike motor. It weighs under 50lbs, revs to 10000rpms, and makes 320hp/liter.

There, now that we solved the question that is constantly on everyone's mind, let's talk about pizza.

Seriously now, the best engine for your honda is WHATEVER YOU CAN AFFORD TO BUY!

If you have $1000, DOHC ZC.
If you have $2000, get a 1st gen b16a. It'll cost that much to get it in.
If you have $4000, get a GSR/B18C1.
If you have $5500, get a ITR/B18C5.
If you have $10K, and no use for your car for a month or two... get a K20.
Edited for the Whiners:
This is NOT a complete list, as there are mini-mes, LS-VTEC swaps, budget/poor man's ITRs, etc. Use the damn search button a bit more religiously.

What's the best engine for boost... the one that gets TUNED properly.
What's the best engine for drag racing... the one you spend the most money on making FAST.
What's the best engine for road racing... same thing.
What's the most reliable engine... the one you MAINTAIN religiously.
What's the cheapest engine... the one that's in your car.</TD></TR></TABLE>

That's so damn true. It really is commonly overlooked. That post for the whiners is pure brilliance.

I shall kick my little brother tonight, in honor of you.

Right now the budget is about 1k. I have a second motor (another D15B2) and I am wanting to just build a fast car. I want to just get a few more horses out of the stock motor and after I get more, sell the damn thing. I want something that I can be proud of, but not being able to move quickly is pretty embarassing. lol.

just look around, if u have 1000 and a spare motor, look around for a zc with a si tranny. i found my motor for 500 installed with new obd1 comp, and 100 for the si tranny, just no pedals. doing that and tuning the zc will easily give u close to the 150 range.

it is all about patience

If you are going to be running a d series build up do a tranny swap, it'll not add HP #s but will make the car more fun to drive.
