Default my f20 motor sounds like a boxer motor.

you guy know how a wrx sounds? for some reason, my 01 s2k sounds like that, when i rev. is that how its supposed to sound?

i recently came from a b16 and honda motors generally dont sound like that. im just curious to know if f20 motors are suppose to sound a little different?

the s2k motor sounds NOTHING like a boxer motor. 1000000% opposite.

its probably missfiring... check your plugs and wires..

An S2000 on 3 cylinders will sound like a wrx .

Ok this is just getting stupid. Is your check engine light on? Then your car IS NOT missfiring, end of story.

A B-Series motor and An F20c arn't even close to being a similar motor, other than the fact that they are both 4cyl. They don't sound anything alike to begin with, so that theory is done.

Why don't you youtube some clips of a S2K revving??? lets start there

Check to see if you have a test pipe. Test pipes usually give the car a little rumbling sound, but it's more like a g35/350z sound than a WRX sound.

I do know that when honda's start missing they sound like a WRX as someone noted earlier, but as was also noted earlier the check engine light usually comes on when you miss. Still I would check out the plugs and plug wires and even the coil pack.

my friend broke the valves in his gsr a few years ago. it sounded just like a boxer motor with an aftermarket exhaust. but he knew something was wrong. check engine light came on, it was probably only working on 2-3 cylinders
